Hey BBDC Newsletter Readers!

I hope you’re reading this reflecting on a great first month of your 2025.

I keep seeing jokes on my social media feeds along the lines of “I can’t believe it’s January 72nd” suggesting that this month has felt long. Those do resonate with me well, but on the other hand it feels like I was just writing my last update 10 days ago. While January has certainly been a time warp, one thing I’m sure of is the momentum BBDC is picking up for 2025.

So many good things are happening! And these are things that will only lead to more good things. I’m excited to see that my last update talking about positive amplification is sticking!

In the past month, I attended group meetings, met individuals, or had meaningful phone conversations 46 times. From attending longer meetings like strategic planning with the City of Alliance, or guiding clients on local funding options, or meeting with folks in Hemingford to interview them for feature articles, I have consistently felt excitement for what’s coming next after each meeting or conversation. The best word for that feeling would be momentum. Momentum that will bring to fruition new successful businesses, an arts festival put on by the Alliance Creative District, new homes for our workforce, much more, and overall, more community, and more things to celebrate in Box Butte County.

Do you feel the momentum, too? Or maybe you don’t. Either way, I’d be happy to talk to you about it and hear about what we should build momentum around in Box Butte County. Feel free to stop in (502 Box Butte and/or Hemingford Village Office Tuesday), email (BBDCDirector@bbc.net) or call (308.762.1800).

Thanks for reading,

Hannah Robinson
