How Will a 4-Day School Week Affect Childcare in Box Butte County? Take Our Survey to Share Your Thoughts!

Alliance Public Schools is making the shift to a 4-day school week next fall, and local families may soon find themselves adjusting their childcare arrangements. To get ahead of these changes, Box Butte County Community for Kids (C4K) has launched a survey to better understand how the new schedule will impact parents, childcare providers, and employers in the community.

The survey, which on average is taking participants two minutes, is designed to gather feedback from families to assess how they will be handling the 5th day when it comes to childcare arrangements. The results will help C4K and other local stakeholders identify potential gaps in care and explore solutions to ensure families have access to the support they need.

“As a group focused on strengthening childcare in Box Butte County, we know that a schedule change like this can have a big impact on both families and providers,” said Hannah Robinson, representative of C4K. “By hearing directly from parents, we can help inform our providers and other stakeholders in how they can support working families and our local workforce.”

C4K is a coalition of childcare providers, parents, and community members dedicated to expanding and improving early childhood care in the area. The group is committed to making sure families have the resources they need to navigate this transition smoothly.

Parents, caregivers, and community members are encouraged to share their thoughts by taking the survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/APS4Day.
