Position Overview
BBDC is seeking a detail-driven, community-minded Resource Navigator to support day-to-day
operations and communication. This position is responsible for ensuring precise documentation
for program initiatives, specifically those required by the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust
Fund (NAHTF) Technical Assistance grant. In addition to housing, this role supports a wide
range of economic development initiatives by helping coordinate resources, streamline
processes, and maintain programs. The Resource Navigator strengthens internal systems and
enhances BBDC’s ability to advance meaningful projects that move our community forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to residents, program participants, and community partners
to help them access BBDC programs and services. - Organize and comply with NAHTF grant requirements, including Special Conditions and
maintaining audit-ready documentation. - Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all BBDC programs.
- Serve as a primary point of contact, facilitating communication and scheduling to ensure
timely support for clients, staff, and community initiatives. - Assist with accounts payable, payroll documentation collection, and tracking eligible vs.
- ineligible expenses.
- Support creation and updates of internal documents, forms, newsletters, website content,
and social media posts. - Help coordinate meetings, trainings, and community events.
- Track and compile information on community needs and program participation to guide
resource navigation and support grant opportunities. - Support day-to-day office operations.
- Provide professional, friendly communication to community members, partners, and
stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks or willingness to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital file management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable learning basic online marketing tools.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Self-motivated, task-oriented, and able to work independently.
- A positive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to handle challenges professionally.
- A people-person who enjoys interacting with the community.
Compensation
Salary range: $18-$22 per hour depending on qualifications.
